Thought I forgot about you all, huh?

Grab yourself a slice of cake, and enjoy Adore A Polish's third birthday! I know, I've been a bad blogger and haven't been updating this summer. Excuses are excuses, and I won't bother you with them. What's important is that I plan on getting back into blogging.

I want to post at least twice a month, with a goal of one a week. Consider this the blog's birthday gift to you. I have several posts lined up and scheduled, so hopefully I'll be able to stick with it. If not, you're more than welcome to yell at me =)

Like last year I went through my posts from the past year and picked my favorites:
- Zoya Pixi Dust in Tomoko may possibly be my favorite/weirdest nail polish of the year. There's a close second, but I love this shade so much.
- In my first "let's talk about brands" post, I went over Essie and my love for the brand with a bit of history added in.
- Runner up for my favorite nail polish of the year: Essie Resort Fling. Beautiful shade that I can't resist putting on my nails over and over again.
- I still have an obsession with my Kate Spade Small Leslie, or Kate Spade in general. I haven't been using it much lately, but it's still a favorite.
- I was also glad to expand my brush collection this year with the iFabbo sampled Crown brushes. I use the crease blender religiously.

Lastly, last year's birthday post.
For me, blogging is a wonderful hobby. Having the ability to share my opinions openly with an array of people is therapeutic, in a way. It's a way of expression. I know I may not be the most organized, or up to date bloggers, but I'm glad that I have people like you, the reader, to share my thoughts with. So, thank you. To each and every one of you, I thank you all for sticking with me through these bursts of nothingness. It means the world to me. ❤︎

To think it all goes back to that first post...

The years just keep flying by...

Here I am, sitting around playing with my iPad, and I have a sudden flash of memory. It's October 2nd!!! Which means that it's Adore A Polish's second birthday (I previously thought it was its third, but I was wrong. Oops!). Unfortunately that means the post I had planned for today is going to be put on the back-burner 'til tomorrow, but that's fine. This is a once a year thing, and it deserves a post in my opinion.

A lot of things have changed; the blog's layout (Old one), I have had opportunities to work with some wonderful companies, the content has expanded yet again, and I've met some fabulous people who I owe a lot to (bloggers really are great people). I even switched the spelling from adore-a-polish to Adore A Polish.

I've been going through some of my past posts, and I can't believe that it's been a year already. I actually remember creating some of those posts, and taking the pictures. I figured that I can share with you all some of my favorite posts from this past year;

-Reviewing the Sally Hansen Gel Strips was a labor of love, and its probably the post that I love the most since it was two weeks in the making, and I'm proud of myself for not caving into my own impatience.
-My Mary Kay Clearproof review gained more attention than I expected, and I just love the products. I even purchased the full sized bottles recently.
-If I Lost All My Makeup was a fun one to make, and I love the term 'Makeup Apocalypse'.
-I actually filmed a Nail Polish Collection video, which was interesting to do.
-The Goody Spin Pins is probably my favorite hair product to date.
-... and finally last year's birthday post, where I mention all the things that I accomplished in that first year.

I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for a lot of you guys, and everything I said at the end of the last birthday post is still true. You guys mean a lot to me. I love seeing your comments, and I love chatting with you all about products.

I want to give a huge thanks to the wonderful ladies at the Beauty Blogazons. Without their advice, knowledge, and answers to some of my ridiculous questions I wouldn't have been as lucky as I am. To those ladies I say thank you, and I am proud to be part of such a wonderful group. If you are a blogger, no matter how small, I recommend joining them.

To think it all goes back to that first post...

10 things you probably didn't know about me

Friday, May 24, 2013

It's Friday, and memorial day weekend. So far I have absolutely not plans, and that probably wont change. You may have figured out that that seemingly normal sized child is little me. I figured why not do a little personal post today? I've been playing around with the blog layout (had a bit of fun with the blur tool), and tweaked my about me page a bit. I figured why not tell you all my deepest and darkest secrets, that really aren't very deep or dark? That and I'm actually sitting here for some decent light to hit my bedroom so I can new pictures for a blog post. Patience is not my strong suit.

Now you get to deal with pictures of little me, oh joy!

The picture above was taken at Niagara Falls on one of my many trips to Canada (Quebec mostly, I have a ton of family there). No idea how old I was, but I do know it was before the 4th grade. I got glasses sometime in that grade.

Star Wars, anyone? Taken at MGM Studios (Now Hollywood Studios). I was so amazed that these three were together that I wanted to give the picture to my dad for either fathers day or his birthday. I was little, it's hard to remember that far back. Making myself feel old. I'm only 22, btw.

Facts!!!!!

- I'm actually a shy person when you first meet me. I may seem closed off, and rude, but it's just because I'm not very good at getting to know people. Become my friend and I don't shut up, and I say the most ridiculous things.

- I was actually normal height in elementary school, and believe it or not, I was on the tall side. Apparently my bones decided enough was enough, and kept me just under the 5 foot mark.

- Secretly I'm glad I don't have a whole heap of money to spend. I would have way too many purses, and way too much nail polish. More than I would ever use. Basically I would become a shopaholic/hoarder.

- Rabbits aren't my favorite animal. People seem to think this because I have so many (I show, and what not), but cats have always been my most loved animal.

- I get irritated really easily, and for the stupidest things.

- I used to have my fair share of OCD moments as a young teen, and how my parents didn't notice, I'll never understand. At one point if I touched something with one hand, especially my face, I HAD to touch it with the other hand. Same goes for my peripheral vision. If I saw something out of the corner of my eye I would turn my head/body so I saw it out of the other corner (weird, I know). Everthing had to be even, basically. I still catch myself doing both of these things from time to time, but luckily I've grown out of it for the most part.

- Whenever I post about a routine that I do (nail care, skincare, etc.), I quickly abandoned it, and stop doing one of the steps, if not the whole thing altogether. I do plan on sticking to this routine, though. Time to stop being lazy!

- When asked to name my devices, I use various forms of "Poke". Phone: Lord Poke Poke, BlackBerry PlayBook/old iPod Touch: Sir Pokes A Lot, iPad Mini: Poke Poke the Magnificent (that one is my favorite).

- I really don't like Florida, even though I can't imagine living anywhere else. It's so different depending on where you are. Farm land, forests, beach, swamps, Fantasyland (hehe), and really old stuff. The only constant are the palm trees. They're EVERYWERE. The only thing we don't have are mountains and deserts. If we did acquire a mountain, I'm convinced the state would just sink. Also, all the crazies live here.

- I've never had my heart broken. I've been in love one time, had one (official) boyfriend, and that was that. I was out of the dating world before I even entered it. I've never been happier, and even though I have no idea what I want to do with my life, I still feel secure and safe. I have no regrets about it, either.

I was an adorable child, not quite sure what happened.

I promise a decent post tomorrow, I felt like talking to someone other than my cat. Even she's beginning to think I'm weird. At least talking to the internet seems a little less strange.

Also let me know what you think about the mini change in layout. I'm not feeling the widget titles anymore, but I'm at a lost as to how to change it.

What are some interesting facts about you? I love facts.

semi-productive with an iPad

Saturday, March 30, 2013

Not too long ago I decided to swap out my dying iPod Touch for a new device. I was teetering between the new Touch, or the iPad Mini because there was only a $30 difference between the two. Obviously I chose the latter. It's the iPad Mini 16 GB WIFI only. I can do more on it, I can edit my documents while still having the aspects that I loved from my iPod (music and games). The size of the iPad was always an immediate turn off for me. I'm small, and I prefer my stuff to be small. The size of the iPad fits perfectly in my hands, and I also don't have an issue with the think bezel that everyone was complaining about because my hands are small (touching the screen accidentally). Remember, I'm only about 4'11".

So far my experience with it has been amazing, and I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a smaller tablet, and like iOS.

My case is from Speck, I bought it at Books A Million. My wallpaper is from the web. I love it! I don't exactly want to go to France, but I love France/Paris themed stuff. It's always so pretty.

Without further adieu, I give you a "what's on my iPad" video slash how I stay semi productive using my iPad.

Up top you have the usual; camera, clock, calendar, calculator (that I downloaded), itunes, app store, settings, and video. Pretty basic stuff there, most came with the device.

Then I have my games.
-The first two folders have my Donut Games (company name). They're a lot of fun, I had   them on my iPod.
-Then YouTube, which is an ok app. It's better than the old app.
-Netflix, which is amazing, love Netflix.
-The Sims Freeplay is addicting, I can't get enough.
-A Smurf game which it's getting old, LogoQuiz (oh my gosh, I love this game), and Kindle (which, I have, but probably wont use).

Now for the social media stuff; Twitter, Pinterest, and Goodreads- all great apps, and do what they're supposed to do. They're nice to have on the iPad when I don't feel like pulling out my computer. I don't even know why I still have Wunderlist on there. I don't really like it.

The main dock has my most used apps, and personally my favorite section of the iPad:
-Safari is pretty basic, it's a browser.
-I haven't used Blogger yet, but I like that I can edit posts on the go. It will come in handy, I'm sure. The only issue I have with blogging from a device is the lack of camera connectivity. I may look into fixing that situation.
-I can't even begin to explain how much I love Pages. This is the main reason I got the iPad, and the reason I updated the OS on my computer (from Snow Leopard, I needed iCloud). That was more trouble than it was worth.
-Feedly is an RSS reader. I imported my blog subscriptions to the site, and downloaded the app. The site is easy to use, and looks really nice. The app is a bit annoying to get used to. I'm still trying to figure it out. I want to recommend it, but I'm still trying to get a feel for it. Check it out, it's a great alternative to Google Reader as far as I can tell. Especially since Hellocotton has decided to kick the bucket as well, it's becoming harder to find a really good reader. They're even coming out with an app for BlackBerry10. This news made me happy =)
-Lastly, music. I really like the music app on this. I didn't like it on the iPod. The interface was dull, and an eyesore imo. The only complaint I have currently is that I wish it had the "play next" feature that the latest iTunes version has. I didn't realize how useful it is.

Some of the blogs I follow on the Feedly app. It's a very pretty looking app (And the website mirrors this), and navigating is easy. I don't like that i have to hit every blog individually to mark them as unread. Also when I click the "Today" option, it only shows one blog. To see the rest, I have to click "Latest". It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but so far that's the only thing I don't like about the app.

It's easier to navigate online, and everything is right there when you log on. Other than that, I have no real complaints. I really like Feedly, much more than Bloglovin'.

This is the first folder titled "Donut Games". Donut Games is the company that makes these, and there's over 30 of them. They cost $.99, but I didn't buy any of mine. Every so often (usually one every week, sometimes more) they'll put a game up for free. Over the past 3 or 4 years I've been collecting the apps, and now I have 30 of them total. A lot of them are logic based, and just plain fun. Sunday Lawn (top right with the mower) reminds me of the old Mac After Dark Games I used to play when I was little. Nostalgia. A fellow nineties kid can relate.

On the last page I have Wonderly, which I don't even use. It's supposed to help with financial things, to do list, and projects. I haven't deleted it because it could be useful in the future, and so far I like it more than Wunderlist and Evernote. I hope to utilize this app. Productivity apps are one of my favorite ones to look at in iTunes.

Next I have a folder for all the apps I wont be using, but can't delete. Then I have the annoying Newstand. I added the links to magazine subscriptions so it didn't look bare. I can't get rid of it, and I can't stick it in a folder. Might as well make it nice to look at.

The Weather Channel, for obvious reasons. It's a good app. I miss how it was on my old phone (BlackBerry 9700). The app always kept the current temperature visible on the app itself, so I didn't have to click on it. Beggars can't be choosers, though.

Target app to view the weekly add (Target is my favorite store). IMDb to look up those actors that look soooo familiar, but I can't figure out where I know them from. I know I'm not alone on this. Pandora, I don't even use it. I'm probably going to delete that one and Wonderlist.

Last two games: 4 Pics 1 Word (which has become boring, so that one is probably going to go as well), and Scrabble which I play with my husband.

That's it! I do want to reiterate that Hellocotton is shutting down. So, Google Reader and Hellocotton are going to be no more. So, right now Bloglovin', Feedly, E-mail subscriptions (until Google decides to get rid of Feedburner, which honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they do), and GFC are the easiest way to follow a blog that I can think of. Bloglovin' and Feedly both have an easy way to import from GR, and Feedly has apps for iOS (phone and pad) and Android, and plans for a BB10 app in the future. Bloglovin' only has one for iPhone.

Also I now have an Instagram account! It's very sparse, I haven't gotten out much lately, but I hope to become active on it very soon. Follow me if you want, I would appreciate it so I don't feel lonely =)

Enjoy your Easter Sunday tomorrow. Stay safe, and be happy.

A plethora of bunnies

Saturday, January 5, 2013

I want to share a video I created with you guys. From time to time I make videos featuring my rabbits. As some of the older readers know, I have loads of bunnies. The following video showcases a few of the more charismatic ones. If you want to know more, there is a link above in the main navigation bar.

I had a bit of fun with the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. The songs are (in order) Concerning Hobbits (Fellowship), The Dark Rider (Fellowship), and The Adventure Begins (The Hobbit).

The rabbits (in order of appearance): Dale and Chip (about a week old), Gemma, Emma, Chip and Dale (Chip is the brown one, they are 2.5 weeks old), Chip and Dale again at a month old, Gemma, a bunny does not have a name yet because he just showed up in our yard on Christmas Eve (I'm not joking), Zeke, and Iris.

Also, the chihuahua in the video is my mom's dog, Kloe. The two cats in the background is Magic and Olivia. Kali is the booger who swats at Chip. She's harmless. None of the rabbits are afraid of the animals, they're all pretty used to them. No rabbits, cats, or dogs were harmed or scared during the making of this film. Lots of curiosity though.

Hope I added some cute to your Saturday =)

P.S. Zoya is having a promotion where you can get 3 nail polishes for free. All you have to pay is $10 shipping and processing fee. Code: Zoya2013. It officially starts on Monday, and runs until the 13th, but the code works now. Get on it! I already have my three picked out =)

It's Winterlicious

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

This is such a fun little tag! Christmas is the favorite time of year for so many, and I love hearing about the various traditions.

Favorite Winer Nail Polish | At the moment I am in love with Sally Hansen Wine Not. I tried the color out when I reviewed the SH Gel Manicure set, and I immediately wanted a bottled version of this color.

Favorite Winter lip Color | It was a toss up between two different colors, but the Neutrogena Moisture Shine Gloss in Nutri Berry has stolen my heart. It's not too dark, and with the wishy washy Florida weather, it's great for when it's 50 degrees or 80 degrees.

Favorite Winter Clothing Piece | I wish I could say that I have this comfortable jacket, that makes me all warm, but I can't. I don't even own a winter jacket, I know that's tragic. I would have to say that my favorite piece would have to be my cardigans. I have 3 of them, and I look forward to this time of year so that I get to wear them.

Most Worn Winter Accessory | This is where it gets truly sad. I do not own any winter specific accessories. No scarves, no hats, no gloves, and certainly no ear muffs. I don't have a favorite, unfortunately.

Favorite Winter Scent/Candle | My favorite scent around this time of year is peppermint. I love peppermint anything. As far as candle goes, Apples is the way to go. At the moment I'm burning the B&BW Farmstand Apple, but really any apple scented candle works.

Favorite Winer Beverage | Peppermint hot chocolate ❤

All time favorite holiday movie | The Mickey Christmas movies. I can't remember the names, but they're the ones where they run through different stories featuring Mickey, Donald, Goofy, ect. I always have them playing on Christmas Eve.

Favorite Holiday Song | I don't usually listen to Christmas music, but I have always liked We Three Kings and Carol of the Bells.

Favorite Holiday Food or Treat | Cookies! There always seem to be a bunch of cookies around this time of year. That and Peppermint Ice cream. Eddy's, yeah. It's an addiction.

What is your favorite Christmas decoration? | Always ALWAYS a Christmas tree.

What's at the top of your Christmas list? | Nothing really, there isn't too much that I want. I'm pretty simple when it boils down to it. I do need a hair cut though, but that's not something you ask Santa for.

What are your plans for Christmas this year? | Same as it's been for the past 4 years; go to my families for lunch (I refuse to call Christmas "dinner" dinner when it's at 2pm), and then spend the rest of the night with my husbands family. We're thinking about spending Breakfast at my friend's house, but we're not 100% sure yet.

I think everyone should do this tag! If you do, leave me the link below. I would love to check it out =)

Happy Holidays everyone

Bits of Random: Holiday Tag!!

Thursday, December 6, 2012

Today I bring to you a 10 Question Holiday Tag.  This tag began at datyorkLOVES, and it's a bloghop. Want to participate? Please do! All you have to do is do the tag, post it to your blog, go to her blog, and add your link! So easy, and it's a great way to gain new followers, or find a new blog or two. It's super simple.

On to the questions!

What is your favorite part of the holiday season?
 - I love the decorations. It always reminds me of family, being together, and being loved by those closest to you.

What is one of your family traditions?
 - We always open up our stockings on Christmas eve, and then have dinner on Christmas day. Simple, but still a tradition.

What's your go to polish or nail art design?
 - Definitely China Glaze Twinkle Lights. It's like Christmas in a bottle!

What holiday(s) do you celebrate?
 - Christmas =)

One think you REALLY want for Christmas?
 - The complete, and honest, truth? New prescription eye glasses. Mine are broken, and I don't like them. I'm actually really easy to please.

Best gift you have received?
 - Oh geeze, Im not sure. I think it would have to be a necklace with a violin pendant that my grandma gave me the year my grandfather died. It was meant to be his last gift to me (everyone in my family got something that year), and I just love it.

Where would you like to spend the holidays?
 - At home with my husband. Told you, I'm easy to please! It would be nice to have a white Christmas for once, none of this 80 degrees crap Florida pulls every year.

Have you ever made a snowman, snow furniture, or a snow angel?
 - First: I had no idea people made snow furniture, the more you know! Second: Since I am a native Floridian, and don't venture out to other states during Christmas, I am bound to a life of neverseenshowitis. So no, I have never done the above.

What is the weirdest gift you have ever received?
 - Oh geeze, I don't know! My husband ended up with a jack last year, but he works on cars for a living, so that maybe isn't so weird.

What's your favorite holiday cookie?
 - Anything with peppermint in it! I am a peppermint addict this time of year.

Olivia loves to sit under the tree =)

Kate Spade Stacey Review

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Kate Spade Stacey

This isn't the sort of thing I review, but since there aren't much information on this item, I figured I might as well share my thoughts. This is the Kate Spade Grant Park Stacey in Eggplant. It is to my understanding that this model is only available in outlet stores. There isn't much that separates the Grant Parks from the Mikas Ponds. The spade itself on the from, and the pattern of the fabric lining on the inside of the wallet are two of the differences I noticed.

There are 12 card slots, and one ID slot that I keep a business card in. The card is difficult to remove from that slot when the others on that side are full. I just keep my ID in another slot.

The wallet itself is rather bulky, especially when full. I was hoping it would be flatter, similar to some of the Louis Vuitton wallets I was admiring. The quality is quite good. I've had it for a little over a month, and I only had one issue with it, which was quickly resolved when I went back to the store. The zipper in the one I originally purchased was broken. I didn't test it out in the store, because I hardly ever use that pocket, so I didn't think about it. When I got home, I realized that it wasn't working right. There were several others back in the store that were broken, so perhaps the batch was bad. I did manage to find one that worked.

The leather looks the way it did when I bought it, no rips or tears. The lettering hasn't been rubbed off, and I have used this wallet every day since I bought/exchanged it. The quality is quite good, and the color is amazing! I love the deep purple. I almost bought the red one, but I'm glad I didn't. The wallet is expensive, but I went in during a 50% off sale, and snagged it a great price.

How do you feel about "investing" in a more expensive wallet? Is it worth it, or a waste of money? I don't think I would go too much more expensive with wallets. I like to know the items holding my money, and important information, are of good quality. Do you agree, or disagree?

Someday Summery - Tuesday

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

I was flipping through some of last years photos from my trip to Indiana. I realized that this is one of the two times in my entire life that I have seen trees in that stage between green, and dead. I know, crazy right? This made me realize the other parts of this wonderful season that I miss out. Remember, I live in Florida. A tropical "paradise" lined with beaches, and sunshine. There is no changing of the leaves, no snow (I've never even seen snow), and the few trees that do change and die, I hardly notice because the surrounding greenery is, well, still green. The past few years, on Christmas, the temp has been in the 80s. I don't even own a winter jacket. I own plain, keep you warm when it's chilly, jackets. I wear flip flops when it's at its coldest (no colder than 30F). Some say it's depressing, sad, and I'm being robbed of a true Christmas experience. I say that it's all I know. It's my life, and to me, being surrounded by green, wearing a tank top, surrounded by family is what Christmas is to me.

Have you guys seen these yet? I found this at Target, didn't get it, then they were on clearance. How can I resist??? Anyways, it's supposed to be a french manicure duo. They have several different types of combinations, and you get two polishes in one little tube, thing. The bottles are small, but I think it's a great idea for travel. Any idea if they're going to keep doing these? I think they're a nifty idea.

Another year goes by

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

I can't believe that it's been a whole year since I made my very first post. It was a haul, where I showed my newest polishes. I remember that day, actually. I bought the OPI at Ulta where they had a buy two, get either a top coat or a base coat free. I then went to Target and fell in love with Chinchilly. I was still a newlywed, and I just had this burning desire to blog. I know my blog may not look like much, and to be honest it's only been about 4 months since I began promoting the blog other than on tPF signature. To be honest, I'm surprised I made the decision to list my blog on sites like Hellocotton, and Bloglovin', and even join iFabbo and the Beauty Blogazons. It was something that I started doing for me, to share my obsession without feeling crazy. I enjoy taking photos, improving my blog, talking to fellow bloggers. It's a nice little family that I've found, and I am so glad I made the leap this summer.

I originally made this blog specifically for nail polish. It's safe to say that my nail polish collection has increased massively. It's a number that I wouldn't dream of when I first started. Over the months, I realized that swatching was going to get boring, and I began to branch out into some posts about my life (however not nearly as popular), reviews (something I really enjoy), and other types of beauty related posts. It's a little bit of everything, with some bundles of fluff thrown in there (bunnies, if you don't know).

Bottom line: It really is amazing in what can happen in only a year.

To those of you who have been with me for a while, thank you. To those of you who have just joined me, welcome! All of you make it enjoyable for me to keep up with this little hobby, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Stay wonderful, and happy birthday adore-a-polish ❤

Sunday Summary

Sunday, September 16, 2012

This week I
- Was sick for the majority of it
- Got nothing productive done, whatsoever
- Restarted my Sims 3 Medieval game
- Went to Emerson Preserve even though I was sick. Really nice day out, the breeze was soooo refreshing
- Opened a store on Storenvy called Polish Adore. Right now there are only a few blog elements, but I intend on adding pillows something within the next few weeks. I got bored while I was sick
- Am procrastinating creating a new blog post even though I know what I want to do
- Bought way too much Butter London online. Oops

How was your week? Mine was weird. Like really really weird.

Sunday Summary

Sunday, September 9, 2012

Is that term overused? I know a lot of bloggers use "someday summary", but in my lame attempt to not copy I changed it to Sunday Summary. Yeah, I strive big in my endeavours. I felt like blogging in a more personal way today. I do this a lot, don't I? I find it very therapeutic, and it's a good way to get a few things off my mind.

A little bit on topic, tomorrow Butter London will be buy one get one free at your local Ulta. I was originally planning on running over there and picking up a couple, but using Black Knight always discourages me from purchasing any more. I put it on, and not even 2 hours later it was chipping. I think I will save my $14 for a few Essie colors that I've been eyeing. Plus, a girl can get into trouble at Ulta! When you consider that mine is right next to a Super Target, whoo, it might be best to stay away.

This song, right here by Taylor Swift. I love it! It's so catchy, and I love that she's going in a different direction. I feel like she was putting herself into a rut with the exact same sound on 90% of her songs. I love that she's branching out, and expanding her sound to something new. I was putting together a Beach Party manicure whilst listening to this. It made me so happy =). This color is one of my favorites,  by far. I am also loving Flyleaf's new single, New Horizons.

Finally, after the longest time we've gone a few weeks without rain! Now that Isaac is old news, we've been free for a while. But there's this little thing people are calling the "Ghost of Isaac" that has been brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, but I haven't heard anything for a while, so I'm not worried about it. I say that now, and it started raining =P

❀✧❤✧❀

Still with me? I have been lusting over this wallet for so long! It's a Kate Spade, one of the Pond Stacey's, or Tudor Stacy's. It's everything that I want, so simple, and durable that I will [hopefully] have it forever! I hope the quality is as good as I'm expecting. It's not cheap, which is why I plan on going to the local outlet store to get it. Save some bucks, but I'm so bummed that I missed out on the Labor Day sale! 50% off, WHAT??? I must remember this for next year. I'll show you guys the wallet when I get it. I couldn't find a blogger review online or on the purse forum.

I need to make my summaries shorter...

Meet Olivia

Thursday, August 30, 2012

I consider this blog as a part of my life now, and therefor so are all of you who are reading this. I don't mind letting you into little parts of my life, I always talk about my rabbits on here, and I figured it was high time that my cat get a little bit of spot light! She is my second love, being behind my husband of course. I don't think she was meant to be a cat, she has no sense of balance, and I find myself having to catch her when she falls off the counter. No lie. One time Spencer was petting her, and she fell off the couch! She'll be standing there on the counter, and her foot will slip off. My poor cat. Life is just too hard for a little indoor kitty.

I tried to put these in order of how old she was. Some are cell phone pictures, so please excuse the horrible quality!

I believe she was only 4 weeks old here. She was born outside (momma was a barn kitty) and we had to fish her littermates out to get to her. She was the only one who did not hiss as Spencer. We chose her when she was a few days old because of the dot on her head. She was all black according to the pictures (I can't speak for that foot, never really got to see it), and we didn't care if it was a girl or a boy, we wanted that one!

For the longest time this is what she would do with the scratching board until one day I took her paws, and made a scratching motion on the board for her. Now she is obsessed with them.

She used to chew on wood. My bed, the kitchen chairs, anything wood likely had chew marks because of her.

Olivia, my dog Lexi, and my dad's cat Magic used to cuddle together on the couch all the time!

This was after parading her around the house in the basket (she went in willingly).

She does these things on her own, and I just happen to be around to take a picture of it. Makes me wonder what shenanigans she gets into when I'm not home.

Now I want to leave you with a video of her playing around. I was sitting on the couch, sorry for the bad filming. It was zoomed in all the way. You can watch it in 720p, if it helps any =). Song is Daniel by Dia Frampton.

Bunny in the background is Paige. She is an older girl, and does not mind Olivia or her crazy antics =D
