Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins

I'm sure most of you have seen these in stores. They look like bobby pins gone hay-wire, right? The price is what turns me off. $7 for only two pins? Oh yeah, it definitely cost the company that much to make these -insert dramatic eye roll here-. The packaging was something else. Two twist ties for each pin to hold them in, and I had to rip the packaging apart. I actually wanted to save it for the review, but of well. I got these in my Influenster Beauty VoxBox for free.

So to the part you all care about: Do they work? How well? Well, first let me show you what it looks like when I put my hair up in a bun using only a hair tie, and two spin pins.

I put my hair up the exact same way that I do when I use bobby pins. There was no hair spray used. They actually hold up really well. Normally I would need at least 6 bobby pins before I feel like my hair is secure. With the spin pins I only needed the two to make hair feel like it wasn't going to fall out of place. I also played with it a bit, putting my hair back in a crazy way, and they hold up pretty decent.

I even slept in these bad boys, and woke up with a decent bun (the bun was good, but the rest of my hair was crazy).

How to use: Simple, just style your hair like normal, but when you would normally add bobby pins, take the spin pins and literally spin them into your hair, usually on opposite sides being careful to not intertwine them. I also suggest being a bit careful when using a hair tie. I forced one pin to wrap itself around a hair tie, and it got stuck. I needed someone to help me get it out. It should easily spin, so if you find your self forcing it, take it out, and adjust where you're spinning it. Removal is easy, just spin them out.

So, am I satisfied? Yes. Do I recommend? Yes! Are they worth the price? Well, that's up to you. For me, it wasn't worth it to buy something like this that cost $7 if I had never tried them before. I had no idea if they worked or not. If I lost them, would I repurchase? Yes, I honestly would. They save time, headache, and are really easy to use.
