China Glaze Poinsettia

Monday, June 18, 2012

Please excuse the glitter. I had glitter on my nails prior to swatching, and the boogers wouldn't get off my hands. There is no glitter in this polish.

Essie Size Matters

DISCLAIMER: Yes the coloration is off, but I want to assure you that the color on the nails is true to color. My skin color is off, but that is because of the setting I had my camera on. This is the only way I could get the color to be correct on the nails, everything else turned up too orange, light, and just completely off. Essie Size Matters is this deep and rich, almost velvety, red that is much more striking, in my opinion, than a normal red.

Comparison: Essie Too Too Hot and Olé Caliente

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

I'm going to be blunt and say that these two are basically exactly alike. I think Olé Caliente is a bit more  opaque, but color wise, they are dupes for each other.  I hate it when companies do this, release a color that is so close to being the exact same as one released previously. The only reason I have Olé Caliente is because it came in that box I posted about a while back. Now I have a back up of a color I really like. I actually slapped on Too Too Hot on my thump and other hand, and called it a day. No one noticed, even when I pointed out that I had two colors on my left hand.

Brights and Dots

Saturday, February 18, 2012

I saw a design similar to this on Julep's Facebook page. I loved the idea! I looked at all of my bright colors and chose the ones below. I then tried different dot designs before choosing the single straight line as my favorite. Then I chose the colors! My dotter was a dull pencil.

Julep Helena, Julep Anne, OPI What's With the Cattitude, Sally Hanson CSM Model Behavior, Essie Cute As a Button, Mark. Fuschia-istic, Essie Play Date, Mark. Ibiza Sol Tango.

China Glaze Poetic

Monday, December 26, 2011

I am in love with this formula! I bought this at Ulta, and I fell in love with it's copper-y feel. It's a one coater with absolutely no need for a second one. It's opaqueness is the best I've seen yet, and I didn't even notice a difference when I did add a second coat. Easy application, super pretty color.

NOTD - Festivities

I really really like how clean my nails look, if that wasn't obvious. Here is is:

I used all China Glaze (with the exception of my usual french manicure under colors). From the Let It Snow collection: Holly-Day, Poinsettia, and Champagne Bubbles.

Nail Polish ♥

Sunday, October 23, 2011

It's horrible, whenever I go out, I cant help but buy a new nail polish. I went to Target yesterday to get some stuff for my trip that's coming up on Wednesday, and I found the new Cocktail Bling collection! I saw that the Essie Facebook page listed the colors, officially, and I had a feeling it would be out. Then there it was, right before my little eyes!

They have minis of all the colors, and a mini top coat. I think I'm good with top coats for a while, but I can always use more.

I picked up Size Matters, and I plan on getting the rest in time.

So pretty!!!!

Today, I went to T.J. MAXX. I was looking for either shoes, or a jacket, but look what I found, instead.

OPI What's With the Cattitude? and OPI Ogre-the Top Blue (Shrek collection)

I was first drawn to the colors. I have yet to bum up the courage, and pick up a true blue. They were the only colors the store had in OPI. I looked at the price: $7.99!!!! Are you kidding me? One bottle alone would cost me $8.50.

Don't believe me?

Steal!!!!! I was very pleased.

Till next time, toodles!
