Poshé Super-Fast Drying Top Coat - Review

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Overview
I tested this top coat right alongside Seche Vite and China Glaze's quick drying top coats. I like all three, and all three compare to each other wonderfully. Of course I will have a favorite, and a least favorite, I wont knock either of the two I reviewed as "bad topcoats". They are both very good.

Pros
Quick drying time. Not as fast as China Glaze and Seche, but still up there. No bubbles, no shrinkage. No chips, which China Glaze failed at. Smell isn't too bad either. Still stink, as nail polish does, but it's not the pungent smell quick drying polished tend to have.

Cons
I noticed the weirdest tip wear. It was more fading then chipping. Almost like the nail polish was being rubbed off of the nail. Weird, I've never heard of this.  The second day I had this top coat on the tips were chipping more than normal chip wear. I also noticed it wasn't as glossy as the others. Seche and CG had a glass like finish to it, something I couldn't achieve with this top coat.

Overall
I will probably find myself picking up this topcoat from time to time, but it will mainly serve as a back up if I need it. Out of the three, I place Poshé last. It just didn't hold up to the quality the other two had. I will keep it, and use it if I run out of the other two. It's good as long as I don't plan on keeping it on longterm. Longterm being 2 days+.

  1. I haven't tried Poshe yet, and now I'm glad I haven't. Thank you for the review. I agree with your assessment of the other 2, China Glaze and Seche Vite. Those are my 2 favorites so far also. With Seche being 1st and CG 2nd. I'm still trying to find the best base coat, but those are a bit harder to assess since it's on the bottom and can't see it.

    1. Poshe just wasn't shiny enough for me. It'll be a back up if I run out of the other two. Still better than OPI's.
