What is your favorite part of the holiday season?

 - I love the decorations. It always reminds me of family, being together, and being loved by those closest to you.

What is one of your family traditions?

 - We always open up our stockings on Christmas eve, and then have dinner on Christmas day. Simple, but still a tradition.

What's your go to polish or nail art design?

 - Definitely China Glaze Twinkle Lights. It's like Christmas in a bottle!

What holiday(s) do you celebrate?

 - Christmas =)

One think you REALLY want for Christmas?

 - The complete, and honest, truth? New prescription eye glasses. Mine are broken, and I don't like them. I'm actually really easy to please.

Best gift you have received?

 - Oh geeze, Im not sure. I think it would have to be a necklace with a violin pendant that my grandma gave me the year my grandfather died. It was meant to be his last gift to me (everyone in my family got something that year), and I just love it.

Where would you like to spend the holidays?

 - At home with my husband. Told you, I'm easy to please! It would be nice to have a white Christmas for once, none of this 80 degrees crap Florida pulls every year.

Have you ever made a snowman, snow furniture, or a snow angel?

 - First: I had no idea people made snow furniture, the more you know! Second: Since I am a native Floridian, and don't venture out to other states during Christmas, I am bound to a life of neverseenshowitis. So no, I have never done the above.

What is the weirdest gift you have ever received?

 - Oh geeze, I don't know! My husband ended up with a jack last year, but he works on cars for a living, so that maybe isn't so weird.

What's your favorite holiday cookie?

 - Anything with peppermint in it! I am a peppermint addict this time of year.

Necklace Saver | Review

I don't know about you guys, but I like to hoard necklaces in my purses. Whenever I have more than one in there, the "Magical Tangler Elf" appears, and causes the chains to get tangled together. That pesky little elf is the cause for many hours lost spent de-tangling the most obnoxious knots the necklaces could conjure. No lie. I have a necklace stand, and whenever it falls the 30+ pieces fuse into one huge mess.

This is where the Necklace Saver comes in. The idea is that you put have one saver per necklace, and in turn you have an organized heap of de-tangled chains. Best part is; it actually works.

This simple design comes in a variety of colors, and sizes (3 widths and 2 lengths):

1 inch- aqua coming soon2 inch- orchid (purple/pictured here)
3 inch- light pink

They are designed to fit necklaces up to 22" and 30" long.

Using the saver is super simple. First you slide the unclasped necklace into one of the holes found on either side of the saver. I find that you have to shimmy it down, and separate the fabric so it reaches all the way. Quite east to do.

Then you clasp the necklace and tie the ends together. This works for a variety of necklaces. Unfortunately it's not made for chunky costume jewelry, but those don't usually get tangled with each other anyway. It's the pesky chains that cause the Elf to work his magic.

I carried it around in my purse for a week, jumbled it around constantly, and not once did the saver become tangled with itself, or anything thing else in there. I even found a rogue necklace in there (which I had no idea was even in the purse), and it didn't get tangled with the saver.

I think this is great for traveling, or if you're like me, hanging around in your purse. It's also a great organizational tool. The see-through fabric allows for ease and ability to see what exactly is in side. This way you're not rummaging through hooks trying to get that one necklace out, that seems to be behind all the rest.

Nail Essentials

Hello all! I hope you had a great weekend, I had a pretty chill weekend, but now it's back to work (yay for schedules posts!). I decided to end my essentials series here, since I've basically run out of things that are essentials to my life. If you have any suggestions for this series, let me know! I would love to continue.

I previously posted my daily makeup essentials, and my non-makeup essentials. Today, I bring to you my essential nail items. Other than nail polish which change contently (aside from my favorites, but I don't consider them essentials).

Revlon Liquid Quick Dry & Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops

My quick dries are staples. I'm impatient, and I've taken a break from quick dries for a while, partly because I threw them all out. Currently I am in between these two, loving both I usually just grab whichever is closest.

Sally Hansen Vita Surge Cuticle Gel

When I use pure acetone my cuticles, and nails, feel and look so dry. I typically rub some of this onto my nails and fingers to add some moisture. I usually add on another color right after I take one off, so I don't want to put a lotion. I really like the way it smells too, it's really citrusy.

Nail Polish Remover in a jar

I'm not really partial to any brand, this one was just cheap and on the way home one night. I hate using cotton balls, especially when I'm taking of any shade of red. It usually gets all over my fingers, which requires another cotton ball. The sponge inside the jar just makes everything easier, and less messy.

Qtica Grapefruit Surprise Sugar Scrub

It's a sugar scrub that does an amazing job at softening my hands. I did a review of this stuff some months ago. My thoughts haven't changed, I still love it. I'm trying to make it last until next year when the Zoya Earth Day promotion comes around. I do plan on repurchasing it. Maybe even two bottles, we'll see.

I wish I could have included a hand cream, but to be honest, there isn't one that I'm partial too. Mostly I just grab one of the bottles I have lying around. I haven't found my holy grail of hand creams yet. Any suggestions? I'm serious, I could actually use a good hand cream.
