Basin Haul | Last one for a while

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I went to Basin at Downtown Disney over the weekend. My husband and I had gift cards, and we decided to spend them =). Below is everything we got with our two $25 gift cards.

Fresh Soaps
Mickey (Pink)- Scent is Pink Sugar, my favorite Basin scent
Mediterranean Mint

Bag- Assorted soaps for 3.74. It's a really great deal. I was lazy, and didn't identify the soaps. I know one is oat meal though. The other soaps are by weight, the two above are 6.59 and 5.39. I received the same amount of soap for a cheaper price. The trick is getting a bag with good scents, one that's easier at Basin White located at the Grand Floridian.

Basically it's a lotion. The blend of scents is so strange; Peach, Cherry Blossom, and White Jasmine. It's a very nice blend. None of the scents are too over powering, ands quite sweet.

Egg Noggin' conditioner and shampoo bar
Perfect for my oily hair. I've used the shampoo bars before, but never a conditioner bar.

Bath Bombs
Two Lemongrass and one Sandlewood & Patchouli. My husband picked these out.

For once I didn't want to buy too many bath bombs. I still have some left over from the last time I went. I also have some soap left over from almost a year ago, so that logic can be thrown out the window. If you want any reviews of the products, let me know, and I will do my best. Basin is a little hard to get to, but you can order online. As far as I know the scents are true to their descriptions. I suggest Pink Sugar though, I don't think you can go wrong with that one, in my opinion.

Basin Buys

I try my hardest to go to Basin every time I go to Disney. They just reopened the store in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney. I love their bath bombs the best, and they have new treasures to play with! I opted to go light this round, only picking up three bath bombs and two different soaps.

$4.99 ea. OR 3 for $12.00
Pirate Treasure
"Ahoy Matey! Thar be a surprise pirate treasure in every bath bomb!"

$4.99 ea. OR 3 for $12.00
Viva la Juicy
"An irresistible blend of honeysuckle, spring blossoms, and juicy citrus fruits."

$4.99 ea. OR 3 for $12.00
Hidden Treasure
"Whimsical and delightful - inside each bath bomb is a surprise too!"

Tea Tree
"Enriched with tea tree oil to treat acne and prevent brakeouts. Added peppermint oil cools and nourished oily skin."

Fluffy Pet Soap
"We've added essential oils to inhibit buggy invaders and aloe vera to soothe any itches. Your cat or dog will thank you!"

If you've been brave enough to use this on your cat, let me know! I will be using it on my dog, I enjoy that my cat likes me, and I want to keep it that way lol.

That's all that I got from my latest trip to Basin. I want to do a review of the Tea Tree soap, It smells lovely! There are so many good things that tea tree oil can do. I haven't opened them, and I don't want to until I'm ready to use them to keep them nice.

Quotations are copied from the signs at the store.

Basin Haul

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Basin is my equivalent to LUSH. There are four locations, two in Disney, two in Las Vegas. Yesterday I went to the Disney store in the Grand Floridian. I prefer the one in Downtown Disney, but they're renovating and wont be done will around April (or May, I'm not sure). I love their bath bombs, and realized I actually had a favorite scent which is Pink Sugar. It smell so yummy!!! I had $25 to spend for the day. $5 went to breakfast, mom paid for lunch, and $20 went to these Basin lovelies.

I was originally going to get the Pink Sugar soap, but I spotted a basket of variety samples. I picked the one that had the Pink Mickey (same scent as Pink Sugar) and walked around the soaps and smelled them. This is the one I chose!!

They're cheaper than the actual soap bars, as you get more for less. The one I was going to get was $5.99, and this is $3.29 and I get more!!! Good find.

Scents are: Pink Mickey (Pink Sugar), Wine Soap, Tahitian Vanilla, Surfs Up. Yes there are different stores, one for Basin and another for Basin White. I don't know why, they have basically the same stock.

The bath bombs!! I don't fully remember one of their names, but the upper left one is Pink Sugar,  and I believe the bottom one is Sweet Pea & Vanilla. The upper right one could be Basin White. These were 3 for $12, or $4.99 each.

I wanted to try their lip balm. The other option was spearment, but I liked the peppermint on a lot more (I smelled them), so I chose this one for $3.99.

I am not being payed for this, I bought all of this with my own my husband's money. I do really recommend them though! Next blog post (tomorrow) will be a nail polish one, followed (day after tomorrow) by my new sunglasses!!!! Yes, another off topic post, but I want to offer a variety of things here, not just nail polish.
